Save time with automatic NextGenID reuse in ApplyOnline

Did you know you can reuse a NextGenID® request in ApplyOnline®?

With our latest enhancement, ApplyOnline can automatically reuse an existing NextGenID request and its associated identification data when the minimum reuse criteria are met. This is seamlessly performed via an automated ‘Find & Link’ process when the minimum required data, including the applicant’s full name, email address, and mobile number, is entered in the application.

Matching rules for applicant files:

  • Applicant’s full name, mobile number, and email address
  • Same broker or loan writer
  • Same Lender
  • Within 6 months from original NextGenID completion date
  • None of the IDs used has expired

Note: Some lenders may require the previous NextGenID request to have a ‘Completed – Passed’ status to be eligible for reuse.

If a matching existing NextGenID request is found, ApplyOnline will automatically:

  • Update the NextGenID status under the ‘Financial Passport’ section to ‘Completed’.
  • Populate ID data in the ‘Identification document’ section within the ‘Applicants’ tab.
  • Attach the ‘Verification of Identity (VOI)’ report to the relevant condition card in the ‘Documents’ tab.

Note: A NextGenID request can only be reused within six (6) months from the original completion date, or until any ID documents expire—whichever comes first. Some lenders may have different rules.

Advisory messages when reuse is not possible:

  • ‘Completed- Flagged’ – NextGenID request exists however one or more documents have been flagged. You will need to start a new request for this application.
  • ‘Pending’ or ‘In Progress’ – This applicant has not completed their NextGenID in another application. Start a new request to continue or try again later.
  • ‘Expired’ – NextGenID exists however one or more documents have expired. You will need to start a new request for this application.
